Making a Charitable Donation to Dismas Ministry

 

What your gift accomplishes

 

Although Christ challenges each of us with his words: “I was in prison and you visited Me” (Matthew 23:36), not everyone is able to visit the imprisoned directly. That is why Dismas Ministry is willing to go there on our behalf through the gifts you bring to this outreach. Such gifts make it possible for Dismas Ministry to continue its work of bringing free scripture and faith materials to inmates who request them.

 

You can make a difference

 

Your gift truly makes a difference in the spiritual lives of incarcerated Catholics. It also means so much to the chaplains and volunteers serving them. They frequently have little or no funding to purchase these items on their own. Your gift also is a tangible way to visit Christ among the imprisoned. As one inmate wrote:

 

“I want every person at Dismas Ministry to know their work means so much to me and my fellow inmates. The feeling of being loved is revealed by the materials you supply. God knows your work truly gives life to us in need.”
